The most probable medical tests are heartworm test, hormone test, blood count test, ECG, chemistry level test, X-ray imaging and Echocardiogram.


Most of the heart defects in cats are congenital i.e. they might have occurred before birth or at the time of birth. Most of these defects get corrected with the passage of age and some of these can be corrected with the help of surgical procedures. But there are also some defects that get worse with time and result in heart failure. In some of the cases the heart surgery also results in serious heart damage but still it’s better to seek help instead of fearing these medical procedures.

  • Pulmonic Stenosis
  • Aortic Stenosis
  • Mitral valve defect
  • Ventricular septal defects

The most possible medications that might be used by the vet for the treatment of circulatory disorder include Diltiazim, Warfarin, Nitroglycerin ointment, Beta blockers, Aspirin,etc.
